About the program

Recruiter Andrew Davis will chair a session with a focus on dialog, spontaneity, and a strong element of helpful interaction among peers.

He will share his opinions on current market conditions, but also asks that each attendee formulate a career-related question that we can all focus on. He’ll share his perspectives as they apply, and invites others to chime in.

About the speaker

Andrew Davis recruits technical content developers for software development and life sciences companies.

He is a former software industry Technical Writer and has a reputation for both understanding and championing the role of content development. He recruits Technical Writers, Technical Trainers, Courseware Developers, Instructional Designers, and Technical Content Writers for challenging staff and contract roles.

Andrew enjoys helping those who communicate complex information get ahead by recognizing and refining their value to technology companies. He’s candid and connected and, just as importantly, he likes to help tech industry workers gain their independence and operate without intermediaries.

The STC SF Bay Chapter combines four former STC chapters: Berkeley, East Bay, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley.

Continuing an STC tradition in the South Bay, we will host a summer schmooze in the enclosed outside patio area at Sam’s. You can buy your own alcoholic beverages, and we’ll run a food and soft drink tab to pay for the rest.

Feel free to let us know you’re coming (reply to xrmxrm@gmail.com), but it’s not a requirement. People are busy and often have to decide at the last moment, so if you can make it, just show up. We welcome members, former members, and prospective members.

Directions: From 880, exit on Davis Street East. After 0.2 miles, turn right onto Gilmore Drive, right onto Johnson Street, and left onto Leonard Drive. Drive 0.3 miles on Leonard Drive and then turn left into the parking lot.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The SF Bay Chapter of STC is hosting an ice cream social. Ice cream and soft drinks are on us! 

Guests and children are welcome – there is a play structure nearby.

Feel free to let us know you’re coming (email xrmxrm@gmail.com), but it’s not a requirement. People are busy and often have to decide at the last moment, so if you can make it, just show up. Replies with number attending would be helpful so we can gauge how much supplies to bring.
